About the Book

Tommy Tom is not your typical shark. He has a lot going for him. He’s fast, smart, and a talented rapper…at least that’s what he thinks. What better way to share his talents than to rap out his invitation for his birthday party? …WRONG! Tommy creates a big rap mess and gets rejected time and time again. Little does he know that a tentacled swim fan is hearing his every word and is willing to help him discover how he can fix his mess in time for his big day.

About the Author
Erika Dickerson

Erika Dickerson is a graduate from Texas Woman’s University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Throughout her years as a first-grade educator, she created curriculum-based songs using the instrumentals to her students’ favorite rap, hip hop, and r&b music. Her goal is to take value propositions, such as the importance of being kind, and blending them into entertaining children’s books. Her inspiration came from her students and her son, Landon, who dances to all of her freestyle raps. She is not the best at rapping but has no shame in her game.
