Personalized Books with Photos – Manimal Tales Launches First of Its Kind PhotoStory Children’s Books
Manimal Tales launches PhotoStories, personalized children’s books with photos. Users can upload their own photos and they get printed as part of the book!A PhotoStory transforms a personalized picture book into so much more: almost like a photo album, but much more fun and memorable because of the story that’s wrapped around the photos.”SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA, USA, August 17, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Manimal Tales, a leading personalized children’s book publisher, is promoting its line of personalized picture books with photos, called PhotoStories.— Sue Donhym
As previously announced, PhotoStories are an entirely new kind of personalized book for children and adults. Most personalized children’s books allow users to enter the child’s name, choose an avatar that looks like the child and add in other personal details.
In addition to all of the personalization options above, Manimal Tales’ PhotoStories allow users to upload actual photos and have those become part of the story. Using the PhotoStory Editor interface, users can add, rotate, crop and edit their photos, and upon purchase, have the book be printed with those photos in the personalized book.
“A PhotoStory transforms a personalized picture book into so much more: almost like a photo album, but much more fun and memorable because of the story that’s wrapped around the photos,” said Sue Donhym, the founder of Manimal Tales. “If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a PhotoStory is infinitely better than a plain old, personalized book!”
PhotoStories also play a strong role in ensuring children feel more included. According to the Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in 2021, of all children’s books with human characters, 47% had main characters who were white. “Part of the reason I started writing personalized children’s books was to address the appalling lack of diversity in children’s books,” said Ms. Donhym. “Adding your own photos to children’s books just pushes the envelope on diversity that much further.”
Manimal Tales is the first publisher to offer PhotoStories, and these personalized picture books with photos are the first of their kind. Currently Manimal Tales offers two PhotoStory titles: the Happy Birthday Book and Your Baby’s Story. Both titles are offered in two versions – softcover and hardcover. The softcover retails for $24.99 and the hardcover for $32.99. There are several additional titles in the pipeline that will be launched in the next few months.
The Happy Birthday Book is perfect for people of all ages from 2 years and up, including adults. The book celebrates a person’s birthday and incorporates photos of the person from when they were a baby, photos of past birthdays, and other fun details. Users can also personalize the book based on their date of birth, their name, their gender and can also add a custom dedication to the book. The story is told in humorous rhyme and the illustrations are vivid and colorful.
A spokesperson for Manimal Tales said, “The Happy Birthday book is a great birthday present because it becomes a keepsake souvenir for the recipient and something they tend to treasure for many years.”
Readers can view the Happy Birthday book at https://manimaltales.com/products/happy-birthday-photo-story.
Your Baby’s Story explains to a child how they were born in a light and humorous manner and has the added advantage of incorporating photos from before, during and after the pregnancy.
“Your Baby’s Story is a well-received gift for baby showers and new parents,” said the spokesperson for Manimal Tales. “The story is beautiful and we’ve seen parents actually start to cry when they’ve received this book!”
Your Baby’s Story can be viewed at https://manimaltales.com/products/your-babys-photo-story.
Users can visit the website at www.manimaltales.com and personalize the books they want. On the website they have to add basic personalization details (like the child’s name), and then are taken to the Photo Editor where they upload the photos they wish to use directly into the book. Once the books are purchased, they are printed and shipped directly to customers. Online orders take 2 to 3 business days to fulfil and a further 3 to 5 business days to ship using standard shipping. Manimal Tales ships all across the United States and internationally as well.
Customers appreciate the idea of adding photos to their picture books. “It’s so much more meaningful when you have photos in a book, and it’s such an exciting application of technology to children’s books really,” said Robby Sato, a customer. “My kid loved seeing the photos in his personalized book and I had so much fun finding and adding them in!”
If users choose not to add the photos in digitally, they can still personalize and purchase the book and paste on the photos later, much as they would with a photo album.

Users’ right swipes gamify book discovery processWe want to encourage a love affair between a book and a reader.”WINTER PARK, FLA., UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, August 17, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Think of a book that is “legendary,” a classic like “Pride and Prejudice” or a new release like “Once Upon K-Prom.” What makes a book legendary — critical acclaim, sales or awards? Like most things related to beauty, readers say it may be in the eye of the beholder.— Brant Menswar, Booky Call CEO
Booky Call, a free book discovery platform cleverly disguised as a dating app, is giving users the opportunity to push their favorite titles to legendary status, one of several enhancements recently released to further gamify the book discovery process. The app utilizes the psychology and functionality of dating apps — including individualized dating profiles, left and right swipes, and direct messages — to connect readers to books.
In the latest update, Booky Call added four new designations for books. While “New2Boo” is based on when a book’s dating profile is released in the app, there are three designations that depend on users’ right swipes. The more right swipes, the higher the designation. “Trending” denotes a title’s initial popularity followed by “Fan Fav.” The top designation, achieved by fewer than one percent of the books in Booky Call’s “date-abase,” is “Legendary.”
Books achieving legendary status range from a YA mystery, “Six Months Later,” to the nonfiction self-help book “You Deserve this Sh!t” and Austen’s classic that introduced Mr. Darcy to the world.
“We are determined to focus on the positive aspects of all of our potential book dates, so we intentionally avoided creating a toxic environment where users can leave scathing reviews or one-star ratings,” Brant Menswar, Booky Call’s CEO, said. “There are many outlets for trashing books. We’re different. We want to encourage a love affair between a book and a reader.”
Booky Call starts by matching books to readers based on their stated preferences. Readers can scroll through the book’s answers to questions about their most attractive traits, what’s on their mind and what they’ll do on their first date. If the book has an audiobook version, an audio sample is also included. If there’s no connection, the reader swipes left. A right swipe leads to the book sending the reader a DM with links to date it: asking if they want to “meet in person” for the print version, “keep it digital” for the ebook or let the book “whisper in your ear” for the audiobook. Users can then click on a link and purchase the title in the chosen format from either Bookshop, Libro.fm or Amazon.
Users can also browse for books by genre, title, author or descriptors known as tags. Booky Call’s “date-abase" includes fiction and nonfiction new releases as well as older titles — including classical literature — from major publishing houses, indie publishers and self-published authors.
Given the proliferation of dating apps, it’s not surprising Booky Call has helped connect tens of thousands of active users across the globe to books by using the same structure and behaviors. Although the app only launched 10 months ago, it recently celebrated 750,000 book matches and anticipates topping one million matches before its one-year anniversary. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
The CEO of an art promotion company tells thieves to Burn the Art they stole over a year ago and explains why.Enter, stranger, but take heed Of what awaits the sin of greed... For those who take but do not earn, Must pay most dearly in their turn,”BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, August 16, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Robert Star is the CEO of Star Global International Inc, an art promotion company that self-styles itself as “Thinking out of the box.” They conceived and produced the Million Dollar Harley Davidson in 2010. This unique piece of kinetic art was painted by Cosmic Artist Jack Armstrong and launched him on the world stage. It is the world’s most expensive motorcycle. Star is telling the thieves who stole two paintings by Armstrong valued at over $7 million to either return the art to its legal owners or burn it.— J.K.Rowling
In February last year, two unique paintings were taken when thieves stole Star’s car specially customized to conceal and securely transport high-value art. The paintings were being taken to an art buyer in Beverly Hills for viewing. The police recovered the vehicle but have so far been unable to retrieve the art. Their art theft recovery unit was part of the defunding cutbacks. Last November, Star authorized a press release offering a reward for their return. He has had seven contacts from different people, all with similar stories. They know somebody who knows somebody who physically has the paintings and is trying to sell them in China. CEO Star is confident that the paintings are still in California and that the thief or thieves are misconceived and holding out for a substantial reward.
Star explained that if anyone is caught with these unique masterpieces, they have criminal liability and, if convicted, will go to prison. He advises them to return the paintings to their owners or burn the art. I asked Star about this somewhat extreme ‘burn” advice.
Star responded, “My advice to the thieves may not be as extreme as it first sounds. These paintings are worthless to any thief because they are both secretly coded, and Star Global must issue an original certificate of origin. No collector or investor buying million-dollar rare art wants to buy a stolen work when it is so easily recognizable. They would undoubtedly contact Star Global to confirm the legitimacy of any painting. There are only 100 of these Cosmic paintings by Armstrong, who has vowed to the world that no more than 100 will ever exist.
His inspiration to create only 100 of these exceptional cosmic paintings came from The Black Star Sapphire of Queensland (733 cts.), a $200 million gem he believed had magical powers and specifically instructed him that no more than 100 should ever exist. He has stated that if a stolen painting is returned, he will publicly burn any canvasses to maintain the number at precisely 100. Indeed, before he founded this new art form, Cosmic Extensionalism (Cosmic X), he burned all his prior paintings.
Artists burning their works is not as unusual as it sounds—a Fanatical Monk Inspired 15th-Century Italians to burn their art. Damien Hirst just announced he would burn thousands of his paintings. Much of his work is said to be produced by assistants. Michelangelo, the Great Sculptor, burned his sketches so there would not be any evidence of the work and processes to get there. Before moving on from his previous traditional works, John Baldessari decided in 1970 to have them destroyed. There are more examples.
Contemporary artists, from Gerhard Richter to Bansky, have followed in the footsteps of their predecessors. Ironically, some of these artists have proved that destroying their art isn’t always defeatist or for sheer vanity but allows for liberation, which inspires new levels of creativity. However, the reason for Jack Armstrong’s commitment to publicly burn his stolen art if recovered is as unique as his art itself.
So, it’s simple, my message to the thieves is to burn the art or turn them into a local fire station and ask them to notify law enforcement. You will keep yourself out of harm’s way. This stolen cosmic art is bad mojo. Doing the right thing, the universe will reward you.”

Daniel Boyd Pens New Chapter Book About Hunting With DadThis is a beautiful book of fathers and sons who may not agree but still find their way to mutual respect and love.”TERRA ALTA, WV, UNITED STATES, August 14, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Daniel Boyd has many talents and one of his most recent is writing middle grade chapter books! For many boys and girls, the opening day of the hunting season is very exciting! Tavey is finally old enough to hunt, along with an adult. Tavey's dad, a multi-generational sportsman, lovingly guides his son through much than just hunting. Through the larger canvas of the natural world, Tavey truly discovers a lifetime passion, but in an unexpected way.— Homer Hickam- Author, Rocket Boys
Released by 2020 Independent Publisher of the Year, Headline Books, Tavey's First Hunt touches on many points about hunting and will create conversation for all ages. "Daniel Boyd writes from the heart and has excellent story-telling abilities," said Headline President, Cathy Teets. "This is his third chapter book and each tells an engaging story with an important message."
"Despite its title, this is not really a book about hunting. It's about accepting differences between us. This is a beautiful book of fathers and sons who may not agree but still find their way to mutual respect and love," said Homer Hickam, author of Rocket Boys/October Sky.
"Tavey's First Hunt is a nostalgic reminder of the gift of conversation. A story about fathers and sons; family, forged outside of bloodlines. It's about how each human, along with every animal, is but a single part of an exponentially larger whole," writes J.V Poore, Book Reviwer for Goodreads.
Robert Saunders, Charleston Gazette-Mail "Outdoor Pursuits" writes, "A charming story that respects our outdoor heritage and captures the wonder of a boy's first hunting trip with his father. But Tavey learns a person can respect traditions without being limited by them. In the end, Tavey's walk in the woods reveals a path, not only for himself, but for generations who follow."

Cleo Mitchel is a self-taught award-winning abstract artist whose work is making a mark in today's art world, a talented artist who has a unique germ of pouring out her heart and soul into any works of art she creates. Mitchel cleverly captures clouds, rainbows, plants, and other natural elements in a distinctive method of playing and mixing colors. As per the artist, "Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness," Mitchel uses colors to capture joyful and peaceful moments and express a rich ambiance and happiness.
During her creative process, there's no planning or calculation; Mitchel's approach is to let creativity instinctively lead the way. As a result, spontaneous imagery evolves as the artist naturally creates her works.

And he shows no sign of slowing down. Whether he's collaborating with sports icons on their memoirs, maintaining his reputation as baseball's go-to historian or playing regularly in competitive softball, Peter Golenbock continues to be a vital and important champion for the World of sports.
"When I was at Dartmouth college, I discovered I had a gift. I had the ability to interview athletes and then tell their stories using the written word. For example, Red Rolfe, our athletic director, had been the third baseman for the Yankees in the 1920s and 1940s, and he loved it when I would come into his office and talk with him about his days with the Yankees. He'd tell me about Joe DiMaggio and Joe McCarthy, and I'd be in heaven.
In 1972 I signed a contract with Prentice-Hall to write a book about the Yankees. I spent three years traveling the country interviewing those who played between 1949 and 1964. I interviewed Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Whitey Ford, and many more.
It has been 50 years since I signed that contract, and I am still writing books. Lou Gehrig once said he was the luckiest man on the face of the earth. But I'm not sure that's true. I am." - Peter Golenbock
